This is happening the very day of this post. The space rock, dubbed 2016 CL136, is set to make its closest approach to our planet at 5:26 p.m. on February 1, according to CNEOS. This isn’t the only one this year though. We appear to be entering into a new norm of near encounters. May the Father protect us!
